“The life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the only source of light and the guidance for the people in this world and this is the duty of every single Muslim who claims himself or herself to be a true follower, to change and shape his or her life according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”. These were the opening remarks and the compliments by Mr. Syed Mohiuddin Shakir, an eminent scholar and the guest speaker from India, in his thought-provoking speech delivered on this occasion in the launching event of a long month Seerah Campaign starting from 6th Oct up to 4th Nov 2022. He started his speech with a quote from a verse in Holy Quran (Ch 33 and verse 45) where the Almighty Allah addresses Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) “O Prophet, We have sent you forth as a witness, a bearer of good tidings, and a warner and as one who calls people to Allah by His permission, and as a bright, shining lamp”. He explicitly highlighted that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has spent every single moment of his life, calling the people towards the right path to make them successful in this world as well as in life after death. This would be the main purpose and target of Prophet’s every follower in his life. He emphasized in his speech that the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is an ideal, a great example, a role model for the entire word. Discussing, listening, & studying about the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a great privilege, a source of information and happiness for Muslim Ummah as well as the other people from different communities and religions. He further stressed that the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) provides us a guidance in each aspect of life, a guidance which can be followed by any man or women of any age and their life will be successful in this world & here after. The guest speaker concluded his speech by saying that this is the demand of time today that each one of us must understand the message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and carry forward His message to the other people who are still not aware about Him as well as His mission with which He was sent on this earth as mercy to the whole worlds. He said that every single incident and the moment from Prophet’s life teaches us that we should be patient and steadfast in the face of adversity rather than seeking vengeance and this is the true love and respect to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Other guest of honors who attended the program were Mr. Abdul Mohsin Allahu, Head of Islamic Coordination Committee- جمعية الاصلاح الاجتماعي الكويت Mr Ibrahim Farghalli and Mr Mohammad Jamal representatives from ministry of Awqaaf & Islamic Affairs– Kuwait and they made the program memorable by their gracious presence. Mr Shamvil Pervez, the President of Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait, in his concluding speech, summarizing the guest speeches gave a message to learn from the life (Seerat) of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and adapt it in our practical life. The program commenced with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Owais Khazi and was convened and moderated by Mr. Mohammad Samoil Falahi who gave a brief introduction of IMA –Kuwait in the beginning of the program. The program came to an end with the announcements of Seerah Campaign & Vote of thanks by Mr. Arshad Habib, General Secretary IMA Kuwait. Dinner packets were served to the thousands of audiences who came to participate in the program from the different corners in Kuwait. IMA Kuwait is an Indian socio-religious organization in Kuwait which carries out its various activities under the patronage of “Ministry of Awqaaf” & “Islamic Affairs”, Kuwait. IMA always focusses to provide platform for enhancement of expatriates living in Kuwait for their spiritual & social aspect through various programs & webinars.
