Indian Muslim Association (IMA), a socio-religious association known for its welfare activities among the Indian community in Kuwait, which launched its Weekend Islamic School (WIS) as an initiative to provide quality Islamic education for boys and girls of the age group between 5 and 14, has announced the successful completion of the school’s first academic year.
Children are our future and the future of a nation as well. The best gift that parents and a nation can bestow on children is to provide a good education, and to imbibe ethical and moral values in children. Nothing can be a more valuable asset for a nation than to have well-mannered and well-educated children. With this in view, IMA established Indian Muslim Association Weekend Islamic Classes (IMA-WIS) in 2021. IMA-WIS received an extraordinary response and had more than 150 registrations in the year 2021.
The students fully availed of the opportunity to learn very important subjects such Imaniyat, Seerah, Hifdh, Duas and the Urdu Language. Learning these subjects with teachers who had in-depth knowledge and profound insights in Islamic theology was a quite inspiring experience for the students. They were also offered opportunities to learn and master the art of public speaking.
IMA-WIS employed a Parent-Teacher relationship method to ensure proper learning of the children in the online environment, which resulted in positive outcomes, with parents and teachers providing plenty of encouraging feedback during the parent-teacher meetings.
IMA-WIS concluded its annual exams in February 2022 and the students passed out with flying colors. The school is now fully geared to welcome the next batch of students for its academic year 2022-2023. Interested parents are invited to enroll their children by registering at www.imakuwait.org/school
