Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait, under the patronage of the Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs – Foreign Relations Department, successfully concluded its 10-Day Seerah Campaign with two simultaneous Jalsa-e-Seerat-un-Nabi gatherings on Thursday, 27 August 2026.
The programs were held at Maryam Masjid in Mahboula and Masjid Adsani in Maliya, Kuwait City, attracting large numbers of community members, families and youth.
The concluding gatherings focused on two important themes:
- Building a Better Society Through the Teachings of the Seerah
- Raising the Next Generation Through the Seerah
Building a Better Society Through the Teachings of the Seerah
The first theme was addressed by renowned Islamic scholars and Khateebs Moulana Sifat Alam at Maliya and Moulana Irfan Nadwi at Mahboula.
The speakers explained that meaningful reform in society begins with strengthening faith and Tawheed, developing a sincere connection with Salah, following the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, and adopting the noble character and manners demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
They stressed the importance of unity, brotherhood and social responsibility, encouraging individuals to actively contribute to the moral and spiritual development of their families and communities.
The speakers also highlighted that the Masjid should serve not only as a place of worship but also as a centre for learning, guidance and constructive social reform.
The responsibility of Muslims towards Dawah, enjoining good and discouraging wrong with wisdom was also emphasized. The speakers described social reform as a collective responsibility and highlighted the serious consequences of neglecting it.
The central message was that a better society can be created when faith and Prophetic values are reflected in people’s everyday character, behaviour and responsible participation in the community.
Raising the Next Generation Through the Seerah
The second theme was presented by renowned Islamic scholars and Khateebs Moulana Umar Falahi at Maliya and Moulana Waleed Umri at Mahboula.
The discussion focused on the responsibility of raising a generation that combines faith, knowledge, character, wisdom and purposeful action.
The speakers presented the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as an ideal model for developing young people. They noted that although modern education and technology provide significant opportunities, these alone cannot produce a strong generation without sound faith and character.
They also discussed challenges faced by today’s youth, including excessive dependence on social media, loss of purpose and various moral distractions, making the Prophetic model especially relevant.
The speakers explained how Prophet Muhammad ﷺ recognized the abilities of young people, entrusted them with responsibilities and helped develop their potential.
Examples including Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA), Aisha (RA), Muadh ibn Jabal (RA), Usama ibn Zaid (RA) and Ali (RA) were highlighted to demonstrate how knowledge, talent, courage and leadership can flourish when young people are given trust, guidance and meaningful responsibilities.
The speakers further emphasized the important role of parents and the home as the first school of character. Children learn more from the behaviour and example of their parents than from words alone.
They stressed that education should develop both knowledge and character. Young people should also be guided to use technology wisely and direct their abilities towards meaningful purposes that benefit humanity and the Ummah.
The two programs marked the successful conclusion of IMA Kuwait’s 10-Day Seerah Campaign, which aimed to reconnect the community with the life, character and mission of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and encourage people to apply the timeless lessons of the Seerah in their daily lives.
The campaign conveyed a strong message about building better individuals and a better society today while nurturing a morally strong and purposeful generation for the future. It reinforced the idea that the Seerah is not simply a historical account, but a living source of guidance for personal character, family life, community development and responsible living.
Students from IMA Summer Islamic Classes also presented an Islamic nasheed at the Masjid Adsani program. Their performance was warmly received by the audience and contributed to the spiritual atmosphere of the gathering.
The concluding programs saw enthusiastic participation from community members, families and youth. Separate arrangements were made for ladies, and the gatherings concluded with dinner packets being served, providing participants with an opportunity for fellowship and strengthening community bonds.
