IMA Kuwait organised “Welcome Ramadan 2026” public events across different areas of Kuwait under the patronage of the Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs – Foreign Relations Department. The programmes were held through various IMA units to spiritually and socially prepare the community for Ramadan.

The events focused on two main themes: “Zakat and Social Justice: An Islamic Economic Vision” and “Preparing Yourself for Ramadan with Body, Mind & Soul.” Speakers reminded the audience that Zakat is not just optional charity, but a structured Islamic system to reduce poverty, prevent wealth concentration, and support the needy with dignity.

Several programmes were held on 12 February 2026 after Isha prayer in areas including Fahaheel, Mangaf, Mahboula, Khaitan, Abbasiya, Farwaniya, City, and Al-Riqqae, while another session was held on 16 February 2026 in Salmiya. Scholars and speakers included Maulana Mohammad Umar Falahi, Maulana Waleed Umari, Mr Syed Mohiuddin Shakir, Maulana Irfan Nadvi, Mr Khursheed Khan, Mr Shamvel Pravez, Maulana Samoil Falahi, Mr Dawood Absani, Mr Arshad Habib, and Mr Imran Jasnaik.

The second major message was about preparing for Ramadan in a complete way — physically, mentally, and spiritually. Attendees were encouraged to build balanced routines, reduce distractions, set spiritual goals, make sincere repentance, increase worship, improve character, and treat Ramadan as an annual spiritual reset.

The events attracted families, youth, and professionals. Each programme included a Q&A session, and dinner packets were distributed to attendees. IMA Kuwait also thanked the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs for its support and reaffirmed its commitment to organising beneficial spiritual and social programmes for the Indian expatriate community in Kuwait.
