IMA Kuwait conducts a series of events and programs known as Arafat Day Gatherings successfully between 23 to 26 June 2023 in various mosques of Kuwait, commemorating the holy month of Dhul Hijjah, also known as the Month of Sacrifice and Hajj.
The Arafat Day Gatherings were held in different mosques in Kuwait, located in Khaitan, Farwaniya, Abbasiya, Salmiya, Mahboula, and Fahaheel areas, attended by hundreds of people. Separate arrangements were made to accommodate families and to provide them a comfortable environment during the programs.
Different Renowned Scholars and Khateeb in Kuwait graced these gatherings and delivered their insightful speeches on a range of different topics related to the significance of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, Arafat Day, the purpose of sacrifices, the objectives and message of Hajj and Qurbani (sacrifice), the message of Eid Al-Adha, and the farewell sermon of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Maulana Waleed Umri,, one of the renowned Khateeb in Kuwait, while delivering his speech in Fahaheel during the Friday Urdu Khutba, highlighted the virtues of sacrifices in Islam through the life of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
Mr. Sharafudin Soofi, another key note speaker and Khateeb while addressing a gathering in Maryam Masjid in Mahboula discussed in details about the legacy and life of Ibrahim (AS) highlighting that Prophet Ibrahim (AS) is a complete role model for the whole human beings all around the world, followed by a session of a question & answers session moderated by IMA President Maulana Mohammad Umar Falahi.
Mr. Nisar Ahmed, a motivational speaker addressed two different Arafat Day gatherings held in Masjid Al Mailem Khaitan and Yousuf Al Adsani in Maliya in two different dates, emphasizing the virtues of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah and Arafat Day, as well as the message of Hajj and Qurbani.
Mr. Masood Shahab and Mr. Khurshid Ahmed Falahi, another two noted Khateeb and speakers delivered their thought-provoking speeches, addressing a remarkable gatherings at Masjid Bilqis-Abbasiya and Masjid Al Mailam-Farwaniya Police Station at roundabout respectively. Both speakers enlightened the audience on the significance and the importance of the Arafat Day in Islam.
IMA Kuwait organized separate Kids Islamic programs simultaneously in different mosques of Kuwait, ensuring an inclusive and engaging experience for young attendees. At the end of each gathering, dinner packets were served, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.
